I love painting challenging shapes, colors, and textures and I enjoyed illustrating the tiny bees below. In the original painting, I used meticulous brushstrokes to relay their fuzzy bodies and transparent wings, while in the second I highlighted those details with metallic silver watercolor paints.
Notice that each commissioned “copy” of a work is unique and original - a new version will relay the same idea but always with a new twist or detail!

Poppies are native to my homeland, Moldova, and they are one of my favorite flowers. These flowers are very resilient. Sometimes they postpone their germination for years, waiting for the right climate, and then they fill entire fields with their bright, beautiful blooms for many long months.
Poppies have become a personal symbol for me. My artistic talent and inclination also lay dormant for many years until I started painting again. Also, I am learning to be bright, bold, and to take up space with my artwork. I imagine creating fields of paintings for the rest of my life.
